Party of the Month

Blue's Clues Party Tips

Uncover the clues for throwing a great party!
Start by filling up the room with these great cutouts, banners,
centerpiece, and lots of balloons.
Start the party off by drawing blue paw prints leading to your door
on the sidewalk with blue sidewalk chalk.
And don't forget children love to break open Piñatas.
Our Blue Dog piñata is perfect for this party
and it also makes a great decorating item.

Face Painting

Face Painting is always a hit!
Have someone give each child a
paw print on their cheek.

Pin the Flag on the Mailbox

Cut out a mailbox from construction paper. Cut out enough flags for each child.
Blindfold each child and see who can come the closest to putting the flag on the mailbox.

Blue's Clues Party Hats

Decorate your own Blue's Clues party hat!
These party hats come with their own sticker sheets to decorate their own hats which makes a great party activity when the children arrive.
Simply have enough hats and stickers for each child and let them decorate to their liking.
Each pack contains 8 hats and 8 sticker sheets.

Blue Magic

This is an activity that everyone will enjoy. Let each child make their own "magic". This activity would be best outside or in the kitchen.

You Will Need:

• Blue food coloring
• Cornstarch
• Sealable Sandwich Bags

Directions:

  1. Pour 1 cup cornstarch into the sandwich bag.
  2. Add blue food coloring to 1/4 cup of water.
  3. Slowly add 1/4 cup of water mixed to the cornstarch.
  4. Carefully press the excess air out of the sandwich bag and seal it shut.
  5. Instruct each child to gently knead the sandwich bag until the mixture is well blended and smooth, but not to puncture the bag.
  6. The children will be amazed as they watch the mixture turn from dry to wet and slowly turn blue.

Blue's Bubble Pictures

         Supplies:

  • Tablet of Drawing Paper
  • Blue Food Coloring
  • Bubbles

    Directions:

This activity needs to be done out doors.
Add the blue food coloring to the bubble mixture.

Have a sheet of white drawing paper for each child. Have one or more adults blow bubbles and instruct each child to try to catch them on their sheet of paper. As the bubbles pop they make a design on the paper. See who can come close to making a paw print or how many paw prints they can make.

Hint: You can make your own bubble liquid by mixing 1/2 Cup Dawn dishwashing liquid, 5 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of glycerin (available at drug stores). Stir (donÕt shake) the ingredients until thoroughly mixed
